Our team
Our Founder
Peter Randsmith
If you’ve ever browsed the internet looking for workout advice, you know how difficult it is to identify programs that work. Even experienced gym-goers get caught up in workouts that promise massive gains in six weeks or less.
That’s why our gym is so valuable for so many people. Instead of doing the research yourself, we’ve done that part of the work for you. All you need to do is show up and give each workout your all.
Some people get their motivation from slow and steady improvement, while others thrive on competition. No matter what your style, we offer a space where you can see results more quickly than other gym routines, as long as you put in the hard work.
What sets CrossFit apart from other workouts and gyms is that we believe in combining strength with endurance for maximum performance. We want you to get strong and capable and see the difference functional strength can make in your life. You’ll build confidence and learn to persist toward your goals both at the gym and outside it
Our gym combines every aspect of exercise science, ensuring that you get the results you want. We offer proven workouts to build energy and endurance. We combine that with sensible eating plans that help you hit that sweet spot where you lose fat while you gain muscle.
We want our gym to be a thriving like-minded community of fitness enthusiasts that support and encourage each other. We aim to do this by combining individual training with group classes of people at your level and coaches that understand your particular needs and goals.
Our Coaches
Jacki
Crossfit Ironworks owner and coach Jacki started Crossfit in 2014 after observing classes while working with a personal trainer. Realizing Crossfit was not just for "super fit" people, Jacki decided to make the leap and join a class. Her love of Crossfit comes from the ability to create an environment that thrives on pushing people outside of known capabilities and cultivating a community through shared suffering. Through the years, Jacki has become passionate about the sport itself and about encouraging people to see their own capabilities and pushing their own boundaries to be proud of what they have accomplished.
Favorite movements: hang power cleans, wall balls, push ups
Favorite workouts: Karen for the movements / Murph for the energy Outside of Crossfit, Jacki loves to run, nap, hike, drink White Russians, eat mozzarella sticks in the sun, and is a proud momma to her two larger than life, fiercely independent kiddos, Jacob (15) and McKenna(11).
Tyler
A couple of friends encouraged Coach Tyler to join Crossfit Ironworks in 2019. Being an athlete in high school, Tyler wanted to continue being a part of a sport as an adult, and Crossfit ended up being a great fit. As an athlete, Tyler pushes his body and mind to become the best he can possibly be. Wanting to spread his knowledge to other Crossfit Ironworks members, he realized he had a natural capacity for helping others work towards improving and perfecting their own movements and skillsets and truly enjoyed watching them build on their potential.
Rob
A Google search of "gyms close to me" led Rob through the doors of Crossfit Ironworks in April 2016. As an athlete, Rob loves the physical exhaustion and feeling of accomplishment after finishing a hard workout, but what really drives his passion for the sport is the people; sharing the experience of Crossfit with a group of people is what makes for great camaraderie. Wishing to be active in the long run, Rob makes small improvements to his fitness while still enjoying and pushing himself in the workouts. As a coach, Rob wants to share his love of Crossfit with others and be able to watch them grow and achieve their goals.
